Since their world was invaded by an alien race, the Blobs have faced a lifetime of war. But now they have a chance to win the war once and for all.

In Blob Wars : Metal Blob Solid, you take on the role of a fearless Blob agent, Bob. Bob's mission is to infiltrate the various enemy bases around the Blobs' homeworld and rescue as many MIAs as possible. But standing in his way are many vicious aliens, other Blobs who have been assimilated and the evil alien leader, Galdov.

 

14th February 2008 - A Beta of Blob Wars 1.09 has been uploaded. The only minor (or major) update to this version is the ability to view and record replays. Download the 1.09b1 gzip and one of the replays to give it a go.

Replays can be viewed and recorded from the command line using the "-record" and "-playback" command switches. Examples,

blobwars -map data/grasslands1 -record replay.dat
blobwars -playback replay.dat

23rd January 2008 - Danish translation has been added to the new 1.08 release.

 

Also added locale support (you need to start it in a Terminal in ZETA to see the locale strings).
